PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
Project: WCDMA and LTE Performance Testing on Qualcomm chipset
Position: Systems Test Engineer, WCDMA, LTE Performance Test Team
Client: Qualcomm India Private Limited, Hyderabad
Tool used: BOA, Agilent, Wildcat, ATM, QXDM, QPST, JTAG, Spirent
Chipsets: 8916, 8926, 8939, 8909, 8994, 8952, 8976, 9x07, 8953, 8917
Responsibility:
• Executing the different WCDMA and LTE test cases
• Conducting KPI and sanity test suites for Qualcomm proprietary chipsets
• Functional feature verification of Qualcomm devices in WCDMA and LTE. Features
include basic MO/MT voice call, PS Call, SMS verification and soft handover
• Involved with in depth performance testing of 4G Cellular standard
• Testing various inter frequency handover scenarios between different bands namely,
IMT, PCS, Cellular, Band 8 and same as different bands in LTE
• Execution of Inter Radio Access Technology (IRAT) tests which involves successful
handover of a certain cellular standard to another cellular standard namely W to G and
L to W
• Testing in LTE covers scenarios such as Circuit Switch Fall Back (CSFB), carrier
aggregation (CA) , Handover and Throughput scenario in clean channel as well as
fading environment
• WCDMA test scenarios covers such as R99 voice, R7 data , R8 DC-HSDPA,R9 DC-
HSUPA,DBDC(Dual band dual carrier), HSRACH, EFACH ,EDRx,ASD (Antenna
Switch Diversity) etc
• Working on Multi SIM/Dual SIM Dual Standby (DSDS) modes. Modes include -
L+W/G, W+W, W+G and W+1X EVDO. Testing involves performance analysis of
WCDMA /LTE in presence of other cellular standards
• Conformance testing on Qualcomm devices. Test cases included standards set up by
AT&T, Verizon and 3GPP specifications like 34.121(WCDMA) and 36.521-1(LTE)
• Reproducing customer issues in lab for further debug
• Configuration of different field scenarios (clean channel & fading environment) in
lab setup using Qualcomm or Node B simulator such as Anritsu, Agilent
• Log analysis and troubleshooting of issues observed in WCDMA and LTE RRC,
Physical and MAC layer.
• Working closely with RF, Systems and Software teams to debug critical customer
issues.
Project#2: Stability Testing of Qualcomm Chipsets in LTE/WCDMA
Tool used: BOA, Agilent, Wildcat, ATM, QXDM, QPST, CRUISE
Chipsets: 8916, 8926, 8939, 8909, 8994, 8952, 8976, 9x07, 8953, 8917
Responsibility:
• Execution of different scenarios to test the stability of a particular chipset
• Test cases include scenarios in mixed fading environment which involves rapid
fluctuations in signal power
• Scenarios such as SIB scheduling changes, TX toggle, DRX cycle changes, False
Page, Random MT calls, BPLMN search in roaming environment and extended
paging
• Stability testing also includes parallel execution of DDR memory, Video playback,
audio playback, GPS and other APPS related procedures using CRUISE tool
• Scenarios are also executed with Qualcomm proprietary network called Wireless One
and live SIM including AIRTEL VODAFONE.

Position: Modem Power Test Engineer

Duration: July 2012 – October 2013
Project #1: Power measurement of Qualcomm Chipsets
Tool used: Spartan, Agilent 8960, Anritsu 8820C, QXDM, QPST, JTAG
Chipsets: 8x25, 8x25Q
Responsibility:
• New feature integration and power testing of Qualcomm chipsets.
• Analyzed and collected waveform simulated power logs to debug issues.
• Involved in competitive analysis of Mediatek and Qualcomm chipsets.
Project #2 : Chipset Field Power testing
Tool used: Spartan/Xeres , Wi-Fi router ,Soft AP , QXDM , QPST , JTAG ,Sniffer
Chipsets: 8x16, 8x26, 8x25, 8x39
Responsibility:
• Executed the different chipset and Wi-Fi test cases .
• Executed different filed test cases on GSM/WCDMA.
• Collected logs through adb shell command
• Involved in new feature bring up and integration, namely, Fast Dormancy and
Network Socket Resource Manager (NSRM).
• Analyzed waveforms and QXDM logs collected during field testing of chipsets.

Tool: Flashing tool of LG, Redmine , Quality Center (QC)
Responsibility:
• Execution of test cases at application level of Mediatek and Qualcomm chip-sets
• Writing test cases by following software requirement specification (SRS) documents
• Reporting bugs using Quality Center (QC).
• Generating log files using Phone Tool.
• Worked closely with development team to debug issues.
Project #2 : Call Performance Test of Android phones
Tool: Flashing tool of LG, Redmine , Quality Center (QC), QXDM

Responsibility:
• Design and Execution of Test Cases.
• Testing was mainly performance based and also involved in competitive analysis.
• Logged and tracked Defects in Excel sheet and also in Test Director
• Worked with development team to ensure testing issues are resolved.
• Voice call testing, FM radio performance testing, and Wi-Fi performance testing.
ADDITIONAL ACHIEVEMENTS:
• Spot recognition awards in LG Soft India
• Qualstar awards from Qualcomm.
