PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS
Self Organizing Networks(SON): Researched and presented the working of a SON, its important drivers,
parametrs, proper implementation and benefits, cost reduction and how a self organizing network (SON,
specified in 3GPP) can help reduce the burden on service providers.
Blue-Sms(Under Grad final year project) :
• Using the combination of Bluetooth and SMS with mobile via a RF communication link and secure
protocol implementation to operate and control devices from our home, car and offices.
• Prototype system has been programmed with AT89S51 microcontroller to read the users mobile
number before executing any command for security reasons. IC 8870 microcontroller has been used to
decode the DTMF tones of users mobile phone to while using Bluetooth.
• But due to the disadvantage of limited range of Bluetooth(upto 10 meters) we included SMS feature.
• GSM modem has been placed which has inbuilt SIM card reader to receive and send SMS requires by
project(although modem has more uses).
• Antenna of 850/1900Mhz Antenna has been used to allow transmission of radio frequency signals
between modem and users mobile phone.
• Simple coding is done for authentication, identity and security of user to use it easily with the help of
just one SMS and Bluetooth connectivity.
