FLM Service Description
Carried out to rectify a service-affecting fault directly or by making a temporary fix.
The event is initiated by the Network Operation Center (NOC) Monitoring team.
Any faults shall be recorded within the time limits stated in the Service Line
Agreement (SLA). If the fault situation can only be solved in a temporary manner or is
non-service affecting, then the fault will be transferred and handled under corrective
pre-planned maintenance.
Pre-planned Corrective Maintenance is carried out to rectify a non-service affecting
fault (In this document classified as Minor and Non-Fault Enquiry fault).
Main activities
Corrective maintenance (24*7) – network fault troubleshooting and corrective event
maintenance activities required on site. Equipment covered is all service affecting
equipment typically Ericsson Mini-Link Traffic Node (TN) and High Capacity (HC) /
Nokia BTS, rectifiers, DDF, cables, jumpers, connectors and antenna systems.
Configuration and Troubleshooting of Ericsson 2P, 6P or 20P traffic node including
power connection from the rectifier.
To handle daily trouble shooting as per the NOC analysis and escalation of any
problem
2. Configuration of NPU 1B, NPU 1C, LTU 155e/0, LTU 16x2 upgrades.
IP Configuration and Make Traffic Node Visible to SOM.
Down/Upload the Backup files to or from NPU through BFTP Server.
Performing BER Test for E1 Performance.
Upgrade Baseline software.
Realignment of the Link to improve RSL.
SW Upgrade of TN at PDH Nodes (From SW Baseline R11E10 to R15A23/R20A34) in
order to remove the SW/HW Compatibility Issues of different plug in units.
