2. 1950s
In the 1950s an Iconic was born. Elvis
became known to everyone and he was the
king of rock. The way Elvis danced it was like
no one danced like that before. He created
something new. He was very influential to a
lot of people.
Before, I had never heard of Elvis Presley
but he became one of my idols in the music
industry revolutionizing music forever. With
Jailhouse Rock, it was funky and I really
liked it and I still do. Even now his songs are
still playing even though it’s been ages since
he passed away.

3. 1950s Fashion
The fashion was a lot different
in the 50s then it is now
because the women wore
sweater sets or blouses and
skirts. Girls wore poodle skirts,
bobby sox and saddle shoes
while now girls wear short
dresses and really high heels.
The general conservative look of the 1950s
men were reflected in the clothes of the
younger men through the early years of the
decade. They wore suits.
4. 1960s
The beach boys are an American rock band who were formed in
the 60s. They are one of the most influential acts of the rock era.
Combining their affinities for jazz based vocal groups, 1950s rock
and roll and R&B to create their unique sound. They wrote one
of the most iconic songs called Darlin which for me was one of
the favorites by the Beach Boys

in 1960 and he became the youngest man and the Romans

7. 1970s Fighting for Womens Rights
During the 1970s, many groups of Americans
continued to fight for expanded social and
political rights. Elizabeth Blackwell became the
first women to receive a medicall degree in the

didn’t have the same rights as the men. They
were treated differently
