Sculpture. Basically this presentation was made to discuss about sculpture in the subject arts. I made this when i am taking up Arts Appreciation. And my teacher is fond of reporting( you feel me?) I hope i can help one or two out there.

Sculpture?

and identify the materials and types of Sculpture.
5. MATERIALS
Most of its history, Sculpture has been created using four basic
methods:
- Stone Carving
- Wood Carving
- Bronze Carving, and
- Clay Firing
* Addition to this, a rare type was chryselephantine sculpture, reserved
exclusively for major cult statues.
6. FIRST, STONE SCULPTURE
Probably the earliest form of
monumental sculpture.

7. JADE SCULPTURE
The best-known form of hardstone sculpture has been a specialty
of Chinese master craftsmen.
* Chinese attribute important qualities to Jade, includes the
following;
- purity, beauty, longevity, even immortality and sculptures
value jade stones for their lustre, translucent colours and shades.

10. BRONZE SCULPTURE
is a complicated process which was
developed independently in China, South
America and Egypt.

11. CLAY SCULPTURE
it is the most plastic of all sculpting methods,
versatile, light, inexpensive, and durable.
Venus of Dolni Vestonice (26,000-24,000 BCE)
Found July I925, buried in a layer of ash in a
region of Czechoslovakia.
12. TYPES OF SCULPTURE
Free-Standing sculpture- which is surrounded on all sides by
space;and
Relief sculpture- where the design remains attached to a
background, typically stone or wood.
