Re: Ms. Kerri Bullard
Dear Internship Director:
I received a request from Ms. Kerri Bullard to provide a reference letter relative to her application for
internship at AMITA. I am most pleased to do so.
Kerri began her studies in clinical mental health counseling at Roosevelt in spring semester 2014 and has
completed 30 semester hours through the fall 2015 semester. She has maintained a 3.90 grade point
average. Kerri has been a student in several of my classes and she has demonstrated excellent scholastic
skills. She quickly understands her assignments, communicates insightful comments during class
discussion, and applies the literature to the needs of prospective clientele. Her writing skills are excellent
and she is provides oral presentations that are informative and stimulating to her audience.
I have found Kerri a sincere and dedicated student. She demonstrates a maturity needed in academia as
well as in clinical practice. She has always been a conscientious student who gives her best effort and
provides a helping hand to other students. She is energetic about her coursework and I believe will make
many contributions to her internship and clinical practice.
Kerri has expressed an interest in expanding her skills in such areas as substance abuse, anxiety disorders,
and Adult PHP; although she in most capable in working with a client population with diverse needs.
I believe Kerri has all of the characteristics of a person who can make many contributions to the clinical
setting. She works well with others and responds well to teacher feedback that strengthens her clinical
skills. I strongly endorse her application for practicum/ internship and believe she will provide many useful
contributions to the AMITA client population.
Respectfully,
Bruce Dykeman
