5. Personality concepts will be used everyday in
my upcoming profession. These skills will be
essential to make it in the medical
profession.
Mindful listening will also play a huge part in
this career because you will need to listen to
all different types of patients tell you their
worries and problems everyday.
It will also be crucial to my upcoming career
to know how to respond to my co-workers
and patients emotions.
6. My interview was very informational for me!
I find that Laura has a lot of great advice for me.
I learned that one of the biggest things potential
co-workers in future look for in their employees
or co-workers is accountability and reliability. If
you miss work in the medical field most of the
time the other health care professionals just
work short and this is not always good. It really
makes a difference to them that you take
responsibility for your actions as well. The
people I will be working with in the future are
very dependable people and expect everyone to
be the same way.
7. I have good communication skills. At
least this is what I’ve always been told. I am
a good listener and really in tune with others
emotions. These skills are crucial in being
able to communicate well with others.
8. Before my interview with Laura Gates I
was very familiar with the health care
profession because I have been working as a
Nursing Assistant at a Nursing home for 3
years.
I have always known that reliability is an
important part of working in the health care
profession. I don’t think people take the
time to realize who is really loosing when
they are unreliable.
9. It really surprised me when Laura told
me that she would rather work with all
different personality types to spice things up
at work. A lot of people would rather just
have things their own way and do things their
own way therefore they would rather work
with their own personality type.
10. Always be on time and show up for work.
Remember that the decisions and actions you
take are your responsibility.
Care about your patients more then yourself.
Make sure you are patient with others.
Take the time to get to know your patients
and the people you work with.
11. I thought that this was a very good way
to teach me about the way people use
interpersonal relations in the health care
occupation.
I found it interesting to get someone else
input on what I was learning in class. I
thought the things Laura told me were a
interesting and important to be successful in
my upcoming career.
12. In conclusion to this presentation I hope
that you understand how I will use
interpersonal relations in my upcoming
career. This was a very good learning
experience for me and a lot of fun for me to
do.
