To Whom It May Concern:
It is with great pleasure that I write a letter of recommendation for Ruth Crousore. Ruth was a student in my Case
Management course at Kaplan University and she both impressed me with her intellect, as well as her passion for
helping others. I have had the pleasure of teaching hundreds of students throughout the years and Ruth stands out as
one of the top students I’ve had the honor of working with. Ruth holds herself to the highest standard both
professionally and personally.
Academically, Ruth is a stellar student, holds a cumulative GPA of 3.9 and is on the Presidents List at Kaplan
University. In addition, she is also an active member of the Gold Key International Honor Society. Ruth was an
active participant in class and was someone that her classmates looked to for direction if they had a question. She
was always willing to offer support and guidance to any of her classmates that needed it. During our lecture times, I
felt completely comfortable allowing Ruth to answer a question or confirm professional standards. Throughout the
course I was continually impressed by how well versed she was both in theory as well as in practical application. In
addition, her written submissions were not only academically solid, but were also written at a professional caliber that
you would see in a seasoned clinician.
Professionally, Ruth’s resume will demonstrate her extensive volunteer experience in the field. She has served as the
Affiliate President of NAMI, the NAMI program coordinator, as well as the newsletter’s Editor-in-Chief. She has
served on the Consumer and Family Advisory Committee, and has also worked as an Advisory Trainer. She has an
extensive list of certifications. She has evidenced both in theory and in written documentation throughout the course I
taught, that she is a capable and compassionate Human Services Professional who is well equipped to serve clients in
need.
Overall, Ruth is an outstanding student and professional. She is the type of person you are proud to have as a
colleague. It is rare to come across an individual as authentic, dedicated, and empathic as Ruth. I believe Ruth will be
an invaluable asset to any organization and the quality of her character will serve as a model to everyone who meets
her. Without any reservations, I highly recommend Ruth for this position.
