Equipment List
1. Equipment /Software /Props
/Costumes
Information
(Where can you get it from? What do you need it for? When will
you need it? How long will you need it for? Cost?)
Camera
There are multiple types of camera’s available to the crew. We can
access cameras through our campus which they have already provided
or we can also use cameras that we own personally. Since cameras
are easily available, no cost is spent. Cameras will be needed
throughout the whole 3 weeks process of filming.
Lighting
Lighting equipment will be available at school however in order to use
them we have to book them out so our campus is informed when
lighting is been used. Lighting will be set up at all times, this is because
natural lighting can be unpredictable Lighting equipment will be used
for three weeks. Due to the equipment coming from school nothing will
be charged.
Microphone
Scenes that have dialogue, a microphone will be used in order for us to
get the highest quality of sound in order for the audience to hear clear
sounds. Microphones will be provided at the campus and free of
charge. The microphones emerge from the speaker transducer with no
significant changes. The microphones wont be need for the whole 3
weeks of shooting however they will be needed for at least one week of
shooting.
Tripod The tripod will be used manly for still shoots as it prevents camera
movement and provides stability. Access for the tripod can come from
both our campus or the one I use personally.
Vehicle
A vehicle is very necessary for the time of shooting the film as it is
needed in the filming process. We need a vehicle for when we are
filming as there are scenes in our film were one is needed. The actors
in the car scenes will not be physically driving the car as they don't
have their license. Also we need a vehicle in order to transport us to
locations we are shooting at. This is not a problem because Dubai
offers many forms of transportation in order for the cast and crew
getting to the location.
Uniform/Costume
The clothing we wanted our actors to wear, we’d like to keep it simple
yet realistic. A plain white t-shirt with the police logo on it and black
shorts/trousers with any pair of trainers. Our production company will
pay for the printing of the logo on the t-shirts however the t-shirts can
be provided by clothing the actors already own.
2. Projector
Use of a projector is needed for a scene in our film (Meeting Room and
Briefing Scene) at the very beginning. This prop adds a professional
and realistic look to the audience. It will be provided by the campus as
they already supply one, however we need to book it before taking it.
The benefit of the projector been supplied at the campus is that the
location of shooting the scene is located within the campus which
makes the transportation of the projector easy.
Gun
Fake Airsoft guns will be purchased for two of the main characters in
order to make them look more like policemen. This helps make our film
more realistic and helps engage the audience. This prop can be found
in prop shops or bought online. All members of the production have
access in order to purchase this prop.
Final Cut Pro
(Editing Software)
Final Cut Pro is a software that’s a series of non-linear video editing
software programs. This software is already purchased and easily
accessible for our editor (Gruvin Lim Singh) therefore no cost needs to
be spent now. The software will be used once footage is complete and
we start putting our film together. Also the software providers various
types of features such as colour grading and masks which will allow
our film to look more professional.
