RESOURCES/EQUIPMENT

Equipment/Resources
• Camera- We will borrow the camera from the school media department. We are choosing to
borrow a camera because we have used them before therefore know how to operate them. We
can also guarantee that the clips will be compatible with the computer and software.
• Tripod- We want to borrow a tripod from the school as well because the cameras will fit the
tripods. For the shots in modern day we want them to be stable therefore we will need to use
tripod.
• Sound Recorder- Because the microphone on the camera are not of a high quality, we plan to use
an external recorder in order to achieve the quality of sound we want. We also plan to borrow
this from the school media department because we know how to use them.
• Computer- The computers in the media classroom have all of the software we need to edit the
film and sound therefore we plan to use them. This also prevents the chance of being left without
a film because someone is absent.
• Props- The main props will be the picture frame, a plate, and a child’s toy. By keeping the number
of props lower it helps us to focus on the ones we do use because they are all significant to the
story line.
Software
• Final cut pro- Final cut pro is a video and sound editing software, we plan to use this for our film
opening as it allows for more professional and accurate editing. For previous productions we have
used this software so we are familiar with it. Final cut pro we allow us to add sound directly to the
footage which is beneficial to us because on a previous production we were unable to put the
sound on the video.
• Imovie- Imovie is another video and sound editing software however it is a lot more basic,
therefore the final film will look more amateur. We have used Imovie for our preliminary as we
only needed to do basic editing for a shorter clip. We don’t want to use Imovie for our actual film
opening as we don’t believe it will help us achieve the professional image we want to create.
