About Footers Catering
Today Footers Catering is a second-generation family owned business, owned and operated by Jimmy’s son Anthony Lambatos and Anthony’s wife, April Lambatos.
Passionate about the catering industry, both Anthony and April worked their way up
from the bottom scraping plates and doing dishes. After purchasing Footers Catering in 2010 Anthony and April have worked together to build one of the best companies to work for through a fresh new culture that focuses on fun and innovation while staying true to its gourmet roots and carrying on the standard of excellence expected of Footers Catering.

Footers Catering encourages their team to think outside the box to make what they do better every day. Footers use of innovation has made them an industry leader while adding value to their clients. Footers use of innovation has helped business run more efficiently while adding art and creativity to their clients events.
To support their vision of innovation Footers Catering has a full time “Ambassador of Awesomness” with a master’s degree in architecture who focuses on innovation. The “Ambassador of Awesomeness” has helped Footers to create a synchronized digital scheduling system to manage event production and communication to help business run more smoothly. Footers has re-fabricated the standard industry chaffing dish to make it more efficient, light-weight and easier to transport and store. Footers Catering now has a superior product and has even sold their custom chafers to other catering companies.
Footers uses creativity to help bring their clients vision of an event to life through custom designed and built food stations to give clients events a unique look and feel . These custom stations include an Asian inspired four foot tall Chinese takeout bento box, a real life tailgate mounted on three empty kegs that brings the tailgate party to their guests to serve football themed items and a Colorado ski station customized with real skis and snowboards. These creative real life works of art add value to any event.
Footers Catering also uses one-of-a-kind displays to help bring a client’s specific vision to life. Recently Footers has designed a one of a kind vertical spiral bread tower for a client who wanted a more impactful display than a standard basket of bread.

Community
BOOKLOVER’S BALL
For the past six years Footers Catering has had a close-knit relationship with the Denver Public Library supporting many of their annual events including their largest annual fundraiser, the Booklover’s Ball. In addition to providing outstanding food, drinks, and service for the event Footers Catering is dedicated to building an invaluable relationship with the Library. Owner, Anthony Lambatos, also sits on the sponsorship committee helping with fundraising and generating awareness for the library. Lambatos’ ongoing involvement ensures a healthy working relationship that improves the event each year while giving back to the community.
WOUNDED WARRIOR PROJECT
The Footers Catering team helped put together a first time event for over 600 guest to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project. Members of the Footers team even volunteered their time and expertise to be on the planning committee for this event and took responsibility for logistics. In addition, Footers Catering sponsored the event, provided their services at a discounted rate and donated items for auction in support of the cause.
CYSTIC FIBROSIS FOUNDATION
When the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation needed a location to host a small fundraiser – Footers offered up their one of a kind showroom at no charge and helped put on an event that both raised money and awareness for their cause. Instead of offering a discount, Footers offered a gift certificate for a dinner party for ten guests to be sold at a live auction for Anchor Center for Blind Children. This auction item raised over three times more than what a discount for the cost of the gift certificate would have been.

Footers Catering is not only about great food, drink and throwing parties, Footers is also about giving back. Supporting non-profit organizations and community involvement has been a longstanding tradition at Footers Catering, since 1981 when founder Jimmy Lambatos first supported the Junior League of Denver. Footers doesn’t just give money and great ideas, they give of their most valuable asset, their time and expertise. Every year Footers supports more than 40 non-profits throughout the Colorado community. Footers doesn’t want to just write a check and have their name on a donor list. They strive to have a deeper relationship and partnership with non-profits and the community.
Community development is important to Footers Catering on both an individual level as well as corporate. Footers Catering owners, April and Anthony Lambatos, are both involved in the community during their free time and encourage the entire Footers team to do the same. To encourage community involvement Footers Catering has staff suggest organizations and causes important to them that they would like to have Footers Catering support and the entire team will vote and Footers will then get involved with the winning suggestion. Footers Catering strives to create a great place to work with part of their mission being “Love what we do”. Footers facilitates their mission by allowing their employees to express themselves. One way Footers has supported their employees in expressing themselves is by having an office painting party when they moved to their new location where their employees got to paint and decorate their offices to help create an atmosphere all their own. Footers even has an “Awesomeness” room where employees can take a break and play a game of foosball, ping pong or shoot some hoops.
In addition to loving what they do, Footers Catering also dedicated to excellence and has an employee recognition and reward program for when their employees display any of the Footers Catering values.

Footers Catering got its name from an Italian chef who was flown in to develop the menus for the original Footers Restaurant whose nickname was “Footer’.
The catering industry first emerged in ancient Greece from the hospitality industry after the first hostels and inns were built.
Each year Footers caters over 600 events and over 130 weddings.
In 2012 Footers prepared more than 10,000 meals.
The Footers Catering team consists of 35 fulltime and 75 part- time employees.
In 2012 Footers Catering served 6,165lbs. of tenderloin.
The first meal on the moon, eaten by Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin, was turkey in foil packets.
The Footers Catering kitchen alone is 4,800 square feet.
In order to provide the freshest meals possible Footers has their own herb garden on their property where they grow fresh herbs including, sage, rosemary, thyme, chives, basil, cilantro and mint.
