3. The Masthead-
The masthead ‘Q’ has been positioned at the top of the
page in the middle. It doesn’t follow much of a colour
scheme. However, this helps the title ‘Contents’ stand out
better as the masthead has been placed behind it- creating
a shadow effect. The magazine does use a grey colour
throughout the contents page to create a professional
finish which will attract audiences due to the magazine
looking good value for money.
4. The Title-
The title of this contents page is quite small and
doesn’t stand out as much as the other assets on
the page. However, the fact it is in capitals does
still signify its importance meaning it still stands
out enough to be noticed. Its position at the top of
the age has meant that the page looks formal and
professional.
5. The Main Image-
The main image on this contents
page Is very large and dominating.
This is because the editor wants the
reader to see the image first when
opening the magazine. The use of
the image gives the reader an
immediate idea of what the main
story featured in the magazine is about. On top of the
image features a pull quote. This quote is usually taken out
of the article that the image is related to. It would have
been inserted with the intention of pulling the reader into
reading the article by giving them an insight as to what its
about.
