This document discusses different types of crops and farming methods. It explains that there are two main types of crops: kharif crops which are grown during the rainy season from June to September, and rabi crops which are grown during the winter season from October to March. Some examples of traditional and modern farming tools are provided. The key steps of farming including soil preparation, seed selection, irrigation, weeding, harvesting, and storage are outlined. Both traditional and modern methods of irrigation are described.

6. There are different types of tools and they are
traditional and modern tools.
Example for traditional tool –
• Hoe , plough , seed sower , etc,...
Example for modern tool –
• Cultivator ,seed drill , harvester ,etc,...
7. The preparation of soil is the first step before grow the
crops. It is important to loosen the soil to allow the
roots to penetrate deep in soil . The loosened soil helps
growth of microbes and earthworms so, it further
loosen the soil .by loosening the oxygen can flow
through the soil .
8. This is the process of selecting seeds for sowing by
pouring water in to the seed jar so that, the old seeds
( floating seeds)were separated . Then the sediment
seed were sown

10. Water is very important for growth development. The
supply of water to crops at regular intervals is called
irrigation .there are 2 types of irrigation

11. In olden days the water is lifted up in wells ,canals ,
rivers , lakes etc,...
In different region different source were used .
It cause more time and money [ using labour ] .
12. Now a days the water is lifted by mortar using
electricity .
Thus there is no labour charge and the time be saved .
There is 2 types of modern method of irrigation
• Sprinkler method
• Drip method
13. The un desirable plants which grow with other crops
is known as weeds .
The process of removing weeds is known as weeding.
The usage of chemical for removing weeds is called
weedicides.

14. The cutting of crop after it’s mature is called
harvesting.
There are different tools wear used ,for ex,.. Sickle ,
harvester, combine ,etc ,..
15. Then the harvested crops were stored in silo bags and
tin cans
They because the organism will try to eat and damage
it soon.....
