June 1981 to June 2001Procter & Gamble
Market Research Manager
Cincinnati, OH
During my 20 years with P&G, I held several positions, including:
Research Manager: In this role, I was responsible for coordinating test markets. I worked with a multi-
functional team within P&G - Marketing, Sales, Product Development, Finance and Product Supply. I
was the primary contact with key suppliers (Nielsen and IRI). Responsibilities included communicating
test specifications, auditing stores, reviewing sales data, and delivering results to business partners.
Each test market cost several hundreds of thousands of dollars, so there was no room for error.
Sr. Research Assistant/Research Assistant: In this role, which I helped to create within P&G, I worked
directly with both qualitative and quantitative research suppliers, communicating test specifications and
reviewing all study materials for accuracy. I worked with moderators to develop discussion guides,
observed focus groups and led pre and post briefings. I also covered for Research Managers if they were
out of the office (e.g., maternity leave).
Administrative Assistant: Prior to creation of the Research Assistant position, this role had similar
responsibilities; however, the Research Manager was responsible for overseeing research execution.

High School Diploma: Record Keeping/Secretarial
Harrison, OH, USA
During my Senior year at Diamond Oaks Vocational School, I was first in my class. This afforded me the
opportunity to interview with P&G and co-op the second half of the year. Upon graduation, P&G offered
me a full-time position based on my performance. While I do not have a degree, my contributions were
recognized many times through promotions and high performance appraisal ratings relative to my peers.
