• Began employment as Human Resources Assistant in May 2014,
Schedule training with new hires and managers, pre employment
screenings. Assisted in maintaining employee records both physical
and in ADP, develop & maintain relationships with off-site file
Management Company. Assisted in all aspects of recruiting, both in
Colorado and affiliate programs. Negotiated contracts with multiple
screening vendors.
• Coordinate and process benefits enrollments for over 900 staff
members, new hires and open enrollments as well as 401K. In charge
of company Employee Assistance Program.
• Maintain current knowledge of FMLA and ADA as well as CA leave
laws. Aided in successful Joint Commission and 401k audits.
• Created forms and content for uploads into HRIS system.
• Work closely with HR Admin Assistant to maintain accuracy within
HRIS system and monitor carrier connections and file feeds.
• Prepare monthly reports for newly eligible employees, processed
benefit terminations, and enrollments. Coordinate open enrollment
meetings with each site, securing logistics, technology equipment, and
email communication with employees.
• Maintain vendor spreadsheets as needed and develop relationships
with key account managers. Performed monthly audits of benefits
billing vs enrollment to confirm accuracy.
• Monitor benefit enrollments via HRIS system; check vendor websites
for file feed connection. Maintain employee benefit records in HRIS
system, including qualifying event records, personal information
updates, and employment status changes.
• Create and maintain paper files for employee benefits; assist in audits
by organizing information, answering questions, and researching
answers. Create and maintain LOA files and issues.
• Answer questions regarding eligibility, benefit plan details, qualifying
events, and serve as initial point of contact for claim issues. Serve as
back-up to Human Resource Manager, Assist in creation of benefits
packet, new hire documents, and enrollment forms. Maintain a close
working relationship with managers at all affiliate locations.
