tellingvideo, aYouTube videoof them singingaholidaysong,andwill create aPodcastdescribingthe
similaritiesanddifferencesof twodifferentculturesholidaytraditionsbythe endof the weekwith90%
accuracy.

-Make a YouTube storytellingvideoof differentculturescelebratingtheirholidays.
-Singdifferentculturessongs:“HolyNight”,“KwanzaTime”,“Hanukkah,OhHanukkah” and
uploadthemto YouTube.

storytellingvideo.
-Create a Podcastcomparingandcontrastingtwo differentculturesholidaytraditions.
-The smartboardwill be utilizedto demonstrate typical holidaytraditionssothe studentscan

culturessongs. Usingthe computerwill helpstudents researchtounderstandmore about different
culturesholidaysandhowtheyare similarandhow theyare different. The smartboardwill be utilized
to demonstrate typical holidaytraditionssothe studentscandiscussandrelate towhatis shownonthe
smartboard. A computerlabwill be available foruse andreadytogo whenassigned. Iwill bring
speakersandheadphones tothe computerlab. The studentswillmake a Podcast,alongwitha
storytellingYouTube video afterresearchingtwoculturesandtheirtraditionsonthe computer.

As a group, on the firstday we will talkabouteachholidaytogether. The secondday I will hand
out the lyricsto eachsong sowe can all singthe songstogetheras a group and theywill laterpickwhich

findouthow theywantto do theirstorytellingvideoof twodifferentcultures andtheirtraditions,
comparingand contrastingthem. Onthe fourthday, the studentswill recordthe differencesand
similaritiesof the twotraditionstheypicked,fortheirpodcast. On the lastday,the classwill present
theirPodcastsandvideo’s infrontof theirpeersexplainingtheirunderstandingonthe twodifferent
culturesandtheirtraditions.
