Class Level: 8TH Grade Class Size: 35 Class Period: 40 min Lesson: English Language Date: 22.12.2020 Materials: whiteboard, coursebook, notebook, video Topic: Should / Should not Teacher: Yakup Kaan GÖNEN STANDARDS AND COMPETENCIES: by the end of this lesson students will be able to: *Learn and use grammar related to giving advice to someone else. Timing Stage/ Aims Procedures Pattern 8’ Lead in *to set the context for lesson and generate interest as well as to recycle learnt items T. On the board write the following: Q. What would you do if your friend told you he or she has headhache? SS. Use the words they have learnt. Then they share the outcome. T. Accept all utterance and gives praise. T. Wants SS to watch the video T. Models the pronunciation of new vocabulary with individuals and the whole class. T. Explains new grammar by giving examples. T/SS 12’ Present *to introduce target langauge T. Presents the new grammar with sentences. T. Asks SS to read definitions. Then: T. Asks S to describe the Picture in target language. S. Describes the Picture by using basic sentences. T/SS SS/T 15’ Practice *to give students restricted practice in using target language T. Asks students to read the sentences which have to match. SS. Read in loudly into the classroom. T. Asks students to match the sentences with correct ones. SS. Matchs the sentences by one by and T.cheks their answers. T/S SS/SS
