The document lists and describes the equipment and software used to create a film trailer, poster, and magazine for a portfolio project. A DSLR camera was used for recording shots and taking photos. A Mac was used as the central hub to edit footage with Adobe Premiere Pro, import files, create blogs, and organize the project. A microphone recorded voiceovers and sound effects, while GarageBand was used to edit sounds. A tripod stabilized camera shots during recording. Free sound websites provided additional sound effects. Weebly hosted the online portfolio blog. Photoshop was used to edit images and add graphics/text for the poster and magazine. Fonts were downloaded from Dafont for typography.

1. Equipment and software list
DSLR Camera: This piece of equipmentwas
used for several tasks, primarily recording for
the shots to use for the trailer, and also to
take images for the posterand magazine.
This was simple to use as we learnt how to
use in the foundation portfolio in AS.
Mac: The Mac was an important part of this, this was used
as the hub to watch everything was made on, it was used
to edit with the editing software, used to import all of the
files collected, we created our blogs using the Mac,
everything went through the Mac and this was the hub of
the project.
Microphone:We used the microphone just in the
recording stage as it was used to record voice-overs, but also
it recorded sound effects because it was such good quality so
it was better to create our own effects and then put into the
editing via this method.
Garage band: Garage band was used for editing sound, this is
useful because it comes preset with lots of sounds already, and
also you can edit sound within so this is a good piece of
software.
Tripod: The tripod is used in the production stage when
recording we put the camera on the tripod because you can
fit it to what size you want, and also it keeps all shots steady
instead of handheld shaky.
Adobe Premiere pro: This is vital in the postproduction
as this is the platform I used for editing the footage we
got to make the trailer with all of the transitions, and the
arrangement of the forage etc, it was all crated in this.
Free sound: This is a website of which we used to
download a few mp3 sound effect files, this was used for

2. minor sound effects as the majority of sound was done in garage band, but
we just used this as an extra.
Weebly: Weebly was used as the blog to store
everything that I have done/doing in the portfolio, you
can add a variation of information such as links, text,
images etc, so this was perfect to use as the base for
my portfolio.
Photoshop: Photoshop is used for image
manipulation and editing photos and also typography
so in this portfolio it was used to create the poster and
magazine firstly by editing the images, and then by
adding the shapes and other images and typography.
Dafont: Dafont was a website used to download fonts that we
wanted to use on our magazines and posters, there are
thousands to millions on custom fonts so we had such a choice to
find the best we liked, and then download and use for out
documents.
