Evaluation Question 6 - Augusto Pitsilides

1. Question 6.
What have you learned about technologies from the
process of constructing this product.

2. Hardware.
A variety of hardware was used within the filming
process, we used JVC Camcorders with attached
microphones to capture video and sound, we also used
tripods to get perfectly still shots, as otherwise all of the
captured footage would look very cheap. A Fig Rigs was
also used for panning shots.

3. Software
Many different software packages were used for example Final Cut
Pro, Soundtrack Pro, Photoshop CS4, Camtasia and Adobe After
Effects.
Final cut pro was the main software program used, we used it to edit
all of our footage and also to add effects to our clips. By using this
software I learned how to order clips and the importance of how
ordering them completes a clip.
Soundtrack pro was used to add sound effects to our piece, for
example the non-diegetic sounds that were played during the
flashback sequence. From this I had learned the effect of using music
to add mood to a clip

4. Software 2
After effects was used to create the Candi Media Ident. This showed
how adding something as simple as an ident makes a clip look
professional
Photoshop was only breifly used to create the background shown
at the end of the film ( the same background used for this
PowerPoint)
Camtasia was one of the most useful software’s we had used, it was
used to capture image on the screen, and also to record ourselves
analyzing our products.
MPEG Steam Clip was used to convert files that were in formats
that were incompatible with the software they needed to be used
on.

5. Websites
We used the websites Prezi, Blogger and Slideshare as
well.
Prezi was used to do presentations with animations.
Blogger was used to present all of our progress.
Slideshare will be used to present this powerpoint.
