Responsible for daily operations, troubleshooting any issues arising from (10) iSeries AS/400 systems,
strategically placed across 4 site locations in tri state area. Maintaining the key processing network for
a worldwide financial options trading environment. Serviced (4000) Server based clients using state of
the art monitoring tools, supporting mission critical communication and infrastructure across a global
platform.
Recruited for the initial implementation team involved with beta testing and parallel runs until all
parties involved agreed to the deployment of the AS/400 as a fully operational Production system.
Project was completed within projected time frame and below budget.
After successfully completing implementation, took on the role of system operation specialist
primarily involved in daily operations and resolution of hardware, software and communication
issues. Ensuring that these problems were resolved in a timely and efficient manner, keeping in
constant contact with support personnel for quick resolution and minimal business impact.
As the primary iSeries specialist I regularly conferred with the AVP of Operations on crisis
management strategies, regarding unexpected system malfunctions, and best practices for
