1. MY CURRICULUM VITAE SUMMARY
My career in the chemical industry as Sales and Business Development Professional
started in 1994 with Chemphil Group of Companies. Chemistry became my favorite
conversation subject as I’ve personally witnessed how it can shape an economy and
lifestyle during the turn of the millennia.
How chemistry affects people’s everyday life was a major driver in my sales and
marketing focused mindset, and how can I turn these opportunities into numbers
for the company I represent is my primary objective.
MSpear Corporation, Taguig City, Manila Philippines – August 2015 to present
(full time consultancy)
On board as company president and functioning as sales director at the same time.
Chairman of the Board required me to increase the current portfolio number by
100% in six months. Focusing in one time cleaning projects of our clean in place
(CIP) chemicals and saturate the Philippine beverage industry market. Penetrate the
semiconductor and electronics, hotel, institutional bakery and power generation
market.
Currently hitting a 100% success rate in new accounts. Penetrated the power
generation for the 1st
time for MSpear Corp. with a OTC contract for Millennium
Energy Inc in Bataan. There are minimum 10 projects in the client portfolio
including Atlas Copco Inc. and San Miguel Corporation to name a few.
Arvin International Marketing, Incorporated, Pasay City, Manila Philippines –
April 2015 to present (part-time – on call consultancy)
Joined Arvin International Marketing, Incorporated as Consultant for Sales & Special
Projects. Project manager for empty bags market penetration, job includes profiling
and sales closing. Managed special project on palm oil storage tank opportunity with
the biggest Malaysian Palm Oil company. Other responsibility is to extend third
person observation of the current operations procedures for improvement and
value inputs. Gave business intelligence to company owner on chemical needs of
common acquaintances in the detergent industry.
Polymer Products Philippines Incorporated, Pasig, Manila Philippines –
December 2014 to present (full time consultancy)
Extending valuable inputs and rendering business intelligence to Polymer Products
Philippines Management team to 1) create new market segment in hotels, hospitals
and semiconductor 2) penetrate new market category – food service and food
manufacturing and 3) expand geographical presence in Visayas and Mindanao
islands for the floor care and building maintenance industry by introducing efficient
and intelligent sales and marketing tools to monitor and deliver commitments to
2. targeted clienteles. Tasked to bring in other critical company stakeholders to bond
in functionalities to work together in the above-mentioned common goal.
Assisting the sales manager by giving valuable inputs on cost analysis and cost
modeling to thoroughly launch their NSS USA Cleaning Machines (a US brand of
high-end industrial sized cleaning equipment) in the Philippine market.
I championed the FDA registration and improvement in the production area,
laboratory, HSE and sales processes. Project manager for product registration at
FDA. This is the 3rd
time I championed an audit and registration processes, 2 for FDA
and 1 for SEDEX using SMETA 4 pillars audit method.
GJ Holdings Incorporated, Makati, Manila Philippines – 2012 to 2014
GJHI is a start up company, a family owned, P3B business. I got involved as Sales and
Operation Director late in 2012 as a favor call from an industry colleague needing
help to run the operations so he could focus more on salvaging the company.
Together with familiar faces from the industry we were able to start up from P1B to
P3B in one year.
• Together with a lean team from admin support, process and technical
support we were able to pass the SMETA audit of Unilever and access a
global accreditation for GJ Holdings Incorporated.
• I pursued the team to undergo a job rick assessment program to give way to
HSE policy and accreditation the government agencies required.
• I reviewed, revised and improved company policies on admin, HSE and
purchasing together with the help of the HR Manager and a technical
consultant, these policies are now in place and enforced.
• Together with the President, we staged a team building session for the young
company during my 9th
month stay.
• I also took the burden to do the fire fighting on the people problem front to
keep the management focused.
Chemphil Group Incorporated, Makati, Manila Philippines – 1994 to 2012
Chemphil Group is the single largest chemical manufacturing company in the
Philippines, a family owned, Php10B business. I was brought on board in 1997 as
Account Executive and left as Senior Sales and Logistics Manager in 2012 as the
company grew from outside the Philippines to serve the Asian region.
• Together with the credit and collection team, I was able to collect long-
standing collectibles to the water utilities amounting to P25M during my first
6 months.
• When the plant suffered a freak equipment breakdown in 2007, the
3. environmental agency closed down the plant. No product was able to get out
of the plant for a month but together with the management and legal team
we were able to serve all enforced contract by borrowing products from the
market and favored clients until the agency heard our plea to serve strategic
utilities such as water treatment & distribution and power generators.
• In 2002, I initiated and completed the first export sales for the Chemphil
Group when I did a branding program for their sulfur flakes in Vietnam’s
emerging sugar industry.
• I created two income sources for the company when raw material sourcing
became a burden after the Asian crisis, I offered to our big clients tolling
arrangements and build, operate and transfer contracts in our tank farm for
favored locators. These bright ideas helped Chemphil coursed through its
60th
year of existence as a company.
MY EDUCATION
I took two Ateneo Graduate Schools courses. One at their Salcedo Campus to finish a
Marketing Diploma Program in 2007 and another one at their Rockwell Campus to
take up MBA Program in 2008. I need to finish 3 more subjects to complete my MBA.
For my undergraduate course, I completed 2 semesters of Bachelor of Arts in
Electronics and Communication Engineering at Rizal Technological University and
finished Bachelor of Arts , Major in Psychology at Makati Medical Center College.
I also took up a few units of Masters in Clinical Psychology at the University of Santo
Tomas in Manila in 1992.

swimming and cheerleading.
