Executive Summary:
My internship ran from May 1, 2021, to June 10, 2021, and I received 288 hours of on-the-job
training throughout that time. My placement in the Accounts department at C&B Marketing
Service [Concessionaire, Walls Ice Cream] was a success.
In practice, I worked in the Accounts Department, where I verified gate passes, entered data,
filed damage claims, and had the opportunity to practice generating demand challans. The
organization is highly recommended for internships because the personnel is highly qualified
and professional. The Assistant HR manager informed me on my responsibilities and
internship criteria on the first day of my internship. In addition, I had the wonderful
opportunity to work with highly professional people, which helped me develop my
communication, punctuality, commitment.
Overview of the Organization:
Brief History:
C&B Marketing Service is a division of Unilever Pakistan's Walls. It is based in Lahore. Not just
in Pakistan, but also around the world, Walls Ice Cream is a well-known brand. Walls Ice Cream
first arrived in Pakistan in 1995 and has since dominated the local market throughout the
country. It is a Unilever division that was created in Pakistan in 1948.
A personal care factory was chosen to be built in the town of Rahim Yar Khan. Unilever
Pakistan is Pakistan's largest fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) company and one of the
country's largest international corporations. Six plants are now operational in various places
around the country. Unilever's headquarters were relocated from the Rahim Yar Khan site in
Pakistan to Karachi.
Walls debuted in February 1995 with a total of twelve goods. After the opening of Wall's, it
provided excellent services, and Polka lost a significant portion of its market share. In 1995,
Wall's opened a factory on Multan Road (Bhai Pheru) in Lahore. Cornetto, Magnum, Paddle
Pop, Carte D'or, and Creamy Delight are among the most well-known brands in the world. Wall's

was originally introduced in Lahore, and afterwards in Karachi, Islamabad. In 1996, it was
launched in Faisalabad and in 1997 it was launched in Multan, Quetta, Hyderabad, Peshawar and
Sukkhar as well.
In 1997, Wall’s purchased Polka. This acquisition made Wall’s an unchallenged market leader
and it also emerged as the “Impulse Brand “. Wall’s has its 38 plants all over the world. And has
a share of 22% of international ice cream market. In Pakistan it is 35-40% of total ice cream
market. All Wall’s products are made with Halal Ingredients in a Halal compliant manner.

The biggest player in branded ice-cream is Wall's (Unilever), leading with a 60% market
share, followed by Omoré at about 30%, with the rest accounting for about 10% (they include
Gourmet, Hico, Igloo and Yummy; their strength is mostly regional, so as we can see that Walls
has very big market share so only Omore can be said that could be the competitor of Walls.
Organizational Structure:
Unilever Wall’s corporate structure is responsible for ensuring adequate support for product
innovation in the firm’s global business. A company’s organizational structure or corporate
structure is the design that defines the arrangement and systems used to build and interconnect
various organizational components, such as offices and teams. Unilever’s organizational
structure adapts to changes in the consumer goods industry and global market. At present, the
company maintains a structure that addresses corporate needs in terms of managing product
types across the world. As a leading consumer goods firm, Unilever has an organizational
structure that suitably supports diversified global operations.

In Pakistan Walls Ice cream has segmented its market into four Section Which Is South (From
Karachi to Sadqabad), Central (From Sadqabad to Gujeranwala), and North (From Gujeranwala
to Upside the Country)
Corporate Executive Teams
Corporate teams are a secondary characteristic of Unilever’s organizational structure. This
structural feature is based on business functions. For example, Unilever has a team for finance
and another team for marketing communications. These teams make up the Unilever Leadership

Walls Ice Cream has divides Lahore into two Major zones, one is handles by C&B Marketing
service [Concessionaire, Walls Ice Cream, division, Unilever Pakistan] and the other one is
handled by “Four Star Marketing Service”. Each zone is further divided into four areas and
each areas has one Sales Officer.

Number of Employees:
Unilever has 140,000 permanent employees all over the world, others are hire on third party
behalf. The distributor where I was working have more than 250 employees that are working in
different departments.

Brief Introduction of Office:
They have three main buildings including their main head office. Main office,
Warehouse and C&B cold storage.Our office is in Main office building where
all the working is being done regarding Accounts.
Starting and Ending date:
The tenure of my internship in C&B Marketing Services on (10 April 2021) to (20
June 2021).
Department Where I Worked:
I worked in Accounts department.
Training Program
Operation Regarding Account
In accounts department where I worked is responsible for maintaining company accounts, Staff
salaries, Receivables & payables, Auditing &Inventory management, generating invoices against
order.
The role that was assigned to me that I was verified gate passes, entered data, filed damage
claims, and had the opportunity to practice generating demand challans.
Learnings
If I talk about that what I learnt from this internship so it been a great experience for me that I
have learnt corporate dealing and corporate culture as well I saw that how to execute and

perform the tasks in any organization and practically I learnt ERP software and do working on
excel as well.
Skills Developed
During this internship I learned the following skills:

SWOT Analysis OF Unilever Walls:
Strengths
Wide distribution, due to establish distribution channels due to which
they are generating high amount of revenues.
They are financially strong, due to which they can target more and
more markets.
Walls have Strong brand equity across Pakistan.
Walls produce Quality product according to their competitor
Walls have larger dealers network all across Pakistan more then other
ice creams.
Product under Unilever brand is one of the biggest strengths for
company.

Innovative (using latest technology for the manufacturing of the ice
cream and all system is computerized).
Walls use unique innovative packing due to which people go for their
product.
Weaknesses
Perception about the company is that it is specially made for high
class consumers. This perception is affecting company image
although Walls is making ice cream for every class
And they have those products which are ranging from 20 to 60
which can be affordable for the poor people.
Weather barrier is also the factor that is affecting the production of
the ice cream and can be taken is a weakness for the walls.
Product price high with respect to the competitor in some flavors.
Opportunities
Can introduce diet ice cream in market because now day’s people are
health conscious.
Range of the product can be increased especially for the kids because
kids are the major buyers of ice creams products.
Increase in the population is the big opportunity for the walls
because they will produce more products and will generate more
revenues.

Unilever brand is the big opportunity for the walls as it is well
known internationally because they have high brand image.
Threats
Private ice cream parlors are the major threat because of them the
company’s revenues get affected.
Conclusion
In my conclusion I would like to say that C&B Marketing Services is a very fast growing
distributor of Unliver Walls and they are in the best walls seller list of Unliver Pakistan. They
target a hug areas in Lahore and generate a very good profit for the company. They also provide
a great facilitations to their workers as well.
