kinds of motivation?
Kinds of Motivation
Extrinsic motivation is often driven by
external rewards or pressure, rather than
personal fulfillment or enjoyment. While it
can be effective in driving performance and
achieving specific goals, it may not always
lead to long-term engagement or intrinsic
motivation. Additionally, extrinsic motivation
can be influenced by factors such as the
perceived fairness of rewards, the level of
competition, and the degree of control
employees have over their work.
Intrinsic motivation is often driven
by a sense of personal fulfillment,
satisfaction, and enjoyment in the
activity itself, rather than external
rewards or pressure. It can lead to
higher levels of engagement,
creativity, and performance, as
individuals are driven by their own
internal motivations and goals.
