2. ART GALLERY
I am very lucky in the fact that I will have my project presented at the
art gallery. I was offered this project through YMT, meaning that my
presentation is easier to do. I have a guaranteed spot in the gallery in
which people will see my work.
Digital – going in the gallery is a digital slideshow version of my
work, which will be on loop for people to look at when they are
walking around the gallery. I had to make sure that my project was
able to be in a digital format, due to the limited access to interactive
displays.
Interactive Draws – I am also lucky enough that I get two areas in the
gallery in which my work will be presented. Having a draw unit means
tat I am able to do a physical copy of my project along with a digital
version. I wanted to do this originally, so to be offered both physical
and digital, means that my I didn’t have to digitalize all my project
for marking purposes.
Website – along with the other formats, I have created a web version
of my project that will be accessible from the YMT website. This
3. AREA IN THE GALLERY – PRE
SETUP This is my presentation space in
the art gallery. A few weeks ago, I
was able to go in and see where
my work would be displayed.
In picture one, in the circle, is
where the plinth describing our
projects will be. This consists of
the title of our projects and a
short line of what inspired our
projects and how we found it.
In pictures two and three is where
the draw unit will be place. This
will be a physical copy of some
prints and items used in my
project. This is an interactive
place for visitors to pull out and
see my work.

4. AREA IN GALLERY – DURING
SETUP These pictures show the exhibition
mid setup.
The TV screen is where the digital
slideshow version of my project will be
shown, along with the other videos in
this project.
Underneath is a plinth with a short
paragraph about what the project
meant for us and what our projects
are.
5. DRAW UNIT – PRE SETUP
The draw unit was something offered to
me just after I had completed the digital
versions. This meant I had time to
compile the best pictures in my project
and get prints done for them.
When doing the prints, I was advised to
use matt paper due to the glass and
lighting in the gallery. If I were to use
glossy finish, it would have lots of glare
through the glass and bright lights. The
prints didn’t come out exactly how I
imagined them too, however the way
they came out, you could tell that my
project is inspired by a 70s fanzine, as
they aren’t quite perfect.
I also have a collection of items that I use
in my projects that I am going to put in
the draw as a added bonus.
6. DRAW UNIT – COMPLETED
I went in to set up my draw with all my
physical prints and extra objects, before
the exhibition officially started.
Originally, I hoped to do something
physical, but with the pandemic, it
meant that there was a limit to
interactive displays in the gallery. This
meant that I had to create a digital
version instead – I would have had to do
this anyway for the web version to go
onto the YMT and York College website.
Having this physical display has been
really good for my project, as it meant
that I could actually have my original
idea work out in my favor.
In this draw, I used the original typing's
that are seen in my digital version, along
with a set of props that are also seen in
7. ISSUU
To get a wider audience viewing, I uploaded my project
onto Issuu, a digital newsstand.
I have used this in previous projects, finding it really easy
to display my work. It also means that it is accessible on
phones and computers, thus making my catchment even
wider. All I need is a link, and I can send it to friends or
relatives to show them my work.
This also means that it is public for anyone to look at on
Issuu, meaning that any user on Issuu can see my project
if they wish.#
