CLASS: 6th grade
LEVEL: Beginner
TIME: 1 class= 45 minutes
LANGUAGE SKILLS: speaking, writing
WARM UP:
1. Revision of sports with flashcards (5 minutes)
2. We introduce a grammatical structure LIKE using flashcards presenting new
vocabulary (listening to music, going to the cinema, going shopping, riding a bike,
playing the guitar, singing)
3. Through a chart we will teach likes and dislikes.
4. Look at the pictures and complete the sentences. Example:
 X Does Peter like …………………………?
Yes he does/ No he doesn’t
5. We will write on the board: I like… and the teacher will complete the sentence
orally using a microphone. Then the element will be passed around and children
should do the same. (10 minutes)
6. Which sports do you like? Which sports don’t you like?

CLOSING ACTIVITY
We will put some card in a paper bag. The cards will have  to say that the like or a  to
say they don’ like. On the other side they will have the name of a sport. Children will come
at the front of the class, will take a card and will formulate a sentence orally. For example:
