upgrading and repairing offshore drilling rigs, such as Jack up's and drill ships, in international locations.
Replacing old structural steel and piping with new. Installing water makers, oily water separators,
hydraulic units, living quarters and upgraded drilling equipment.

Gas Field Maintenance Supervisor

Started as a "Rig Welder", assigned to an offshore oil field production platform in the Cook Inlet of
Southern Alaska. After 2 years promoted to Project Supervisor. Supervising the installation of gas turbine
generators, submersible pumps, structural repairs and upgrades during “turn arounds” and during
production operations.
2. In 2002 moved to Maintenance Supervisor of a 16 well gas field in Beluga, Alaska. Responsible for
maintaining the water extracting equipment used to separate water from the gas, produced
at each well site. Maintaining a reciprocal compressor, used to ship the gas to production locations.
Plan and executing the annual overhaul of 4 well sites. Also responsible for the maintenance of the road
systems and a FAA air strip.

We were responsible for building ice roads, gravel roads, air strips and drilling pads on the
North Slope of Alaska.
As a maintenance welder and mechanic, we were responsible for maintaining the equipment used to build
and maintain the roads, strips and pads. There were excavators, B46 dirt haulers, E10 dozers, water
trucks, light plants, fuel trucks, pickups and oilers.

As a rig welder on land rigs on the North Slope of Alaska, I was responsible for maintaining all
structural and piping systems on the rigs. Always repairing old or damaged equipment or installing new
systems or structures, during drilling operations. My responsibility was to help insure the rig was never
shut down due to piping systems or equipment failures.

In the Navy, I was trained in 2 fields. One was as ship fitter/welder and the other as
Damage Control Specialist.
I spent the majority of my time as a fitter/welder. I worked in the pipe fabrication shops and metal
fabrication shops on the USS Austin and the USS Nimitz. I was also assigned to the damage control
department where we were responsible during General Alarm situations requiring fire fighters, first
responder 1st aid givers and emergency ship repairs.
Training and experience included welding, braising, oxy/act torch use, fiber glass repair, sheet metal lay out
and fabrication, 1st aid and firefighting. I also learned that I could do more than I ever thought physically or
mentally
possible.
