Writing their own paragraph onpresentational devices – T will go throughwhat
presentational devicesare, and get them toapply it in their writing. They will be shown a
model answer, andit will be differentiated for stronger and weaker pupils.

Lesson Plan pro forma Class: 7NE (mixed ability sets) indicate levels of attainment Date: 24/2/2016 Time: 12:20 – 13:25 No. of pupils: 30 Unit /SoW: Persuasive Writing Unit – Presentational Devices Key Learning Goals: ref. to exam board criteria/NC as appropriate  Giving short speeches and presentations, expressing their own ideas and keeping to the point … in pupil-friendly format: LO: To be able to use presentational devices to describe adverts Expected Learning Outcomes: all pupils? some pupils? a few pupils? All pupils will be able to write a paragraph describing the presentational devices that are used inadverts. Opportunities for Assessment: Formative & summative  Matching activity  Teaching questioning  Paragraph on presentational devices  Annotation of adverts  Plenary – most effective presentational device Cognitive challenges: Desirable difficulties for all abilities; how will students progress? Writing their own paragraph onpresentational devices – T will go throughwhat presentational devicesare, and get them toapply it in their writing. They will be shown a model answer, andit will be differentiated for stronger and weaker pupils.
