19. How to fill out the reading log:
• Time Read: 10-15
• Parents Initials!
• Sight word check- (about 5 minutes)
• Comments, if necessary
• Try for 5 nights a week, consistency
is key!
• Teacher moves up levels.

20. • All students need to be reading at a
‘J’ level by mid-May
• Roughly 1 level per month
• Consistently reading out loud (and
being read to) makes all the

24. Great-Hearted Student of the Week
This is a two part project for your child. They must:
1. Complete a great-hearted activity or activities
2. Create a poster to show the class how they have made
a positive impact in their community.
