This document provides information for parents about Mrs. Beatty's kindergarten class. It outlines her background and contact information, as well as expectations and curriculum details. The curriculum focuses on developing literacy skills like phonics, sight words, and reading comprehension. It also covers math using the Singapore method, as well as history, science, and other subjects. Homework begins in late August and includes daily reading and spelling practice. Parents are encouraged to volunteer and attend information sessions on Singapore math and spelling instruction.
