Work Experience
In my 20 years as a professional trainer, and working for the Department of Defense.Ihave trained users
during transition from paper medical records to a World Wide Electronic Medical Record called AHLTA.
I have a solid military background as an IndependentMedical Technician aboard ships and deployed
Medical Treatment Centers and understand the environmentin which Providers, Nurses and Technicians
adapt to, as they transition to new software. I understand clinical workflow and change managementto
engineer solutions with common sense.
I began my career with fabrication, installation and software supportfor onboard computer systems from
the IBM 286 on a star drive to integrated Apple IIand x386 token ring networks.
Subsequentto implementation and software adoption from the lifecycle firstto fourth stages and upgrade,
I maintained Tier 0 to Tier 2 supportduring integration ofthe world wide electronic health record adoption
and transition from command line to fully functional GUI.
For the pastten years I have worked on the AHLTA worldwide projectspanning from Asia to Europe,
successfully developing, coordinating, training and reporting the successful adoption ofclinical systems
software for the Department of Defense.
I am an excellent technician, trainer, teacher and mentor, and enjoy work with the medical community.
I work well under pressure and seek new projects and opportunity to advance my skills. Recently Ihave
worked with the Health Care Integrators, and Disease and Case Managementto utilize existing DOD
software and Web Resources to improve patientcare. Ihave received recognition and awards for my
service to the Department of Defense and will continue to perform at my best.
I have implemented and participated in software implementation from phase one design, phase two
implementation and testing and phase three and four including modification and redesign over a 12-year
period. My forte is innovation, adaptation, and common sense solutions to software and training challenges.

 Lead on the initial, implementation and sustainment ofClinical Applications as well.
 Lead Trainer for Pacific and Western Region.

 I trained the trainer as well as the SME for my team.
 Trained all new and current employees on changes to software and policy initiatives by Human
Resources.
 ICD 10 Implementation in coordination with Department of Defense Coders.
 Clinical workflow analysis evaluating business practice improvements to facilitate EHR
documentation, and developed local curriculum to implementatDOD medical sites.
