SIKKIM
• Sikkim was a Buddhist kingdom
under the Namgyal-Chogyal
dynasty from 1642 to 1975.
• In 1835 the area of Darjeeling -
that had been part of Sikkim until
then-was annexed by British
India.
• Sikkim was a protectorate first of
British India and after its
independence in 1947 of India.
DELHI
• The history of the city is as old
as the epic Mahabharata.
• Delhi was known as
Indraprastha, where Pandavas
used to live.
• The early Mughal emperors
favoured Agra as their
capital,and Delhi became their
permanent seat only after Shah
Jahan built (1638) the walls of
Old Delhi.

• Sikkim is a state in northeastern India.
• It borders the Tibet Autonomous
Region of China in the north and
northeast,Bhutan in the east,Nepal in

• Delhi is located in Northern India,
at28.61°N 77.23°E.
• The city is bordered on its
northern,western,and southern sides
by the state of Haryana and to the
east by that of Uttar Pradesh (UP).

• Agriculture is the primary
occupation of the inhabitants of the
state.
• The major crops of the state
include rice,maize,tea,
soybean,ginger,orange,pears,
potato and tomato.
• It is the top producer and exporter
of large cardamoms in the country.

• It is a beautiful place that is
known for the India Gate.

residents and tourists.

and even though it is a cheap
means of transport,buses can get
very crowded,especially during
peak hours.
