Project Description:
Create inspirational photodesigns with color theory
Objectives:
Understand the different color theory and schemes.
Take an original photo based of your chosen color palet.
Apply typography and design elements to complement colors.
Process:
I went to the countryside to capture a taste of the North Carolina
colors and americana. I wanted to use the blue, green, and brick
split complementary color scheme. This was an interesting photo of an
old home with a rusty roof backed up against the woods. I used the
eyedrop tool to recreate the colors and match the photo. I went with a
simple quote of just a bold typography with America and nothing more,

different opacities, and different selection options. I made hard line cuts
around the tops of the main images.I added a quote from the movie that is
relevant to create the spiritual message and theme of life and destiny.
Although I still feel that typography is my weakness, I worked to try and
emphasize and balance the text at the top of the image.
