Development Director, Birmingham AIDS Outreach Responsibilities
include:
Exceed annual financial goals for the organization
Production of six major fundraising events each year including concept, marketing, volunteer
recruitment, sponsorships, site selection, budget, management of the event, and donor
communications for pre and post event activities. The six major events include a two month
dining fundraiser consisting of 25 different parties, an art auction with over 250 pieces of donated
art, two poker runs, an AIDS Walk, and an Open House.
Management of all other fundraising events including a monthly charity bingo game and several
other events that occur throughout the year, averaging 62 total events per year.
Public Relations for the organization including public speaking, television and radio interviews,
press releases, building donor relationships, volunteer recruitment, and building relationships
with all local colleges for internship programs, as well as being the “face and voice” of the
organization.
Responsible for all marketing efforts including donor relations, media, website, and social media.
Effectively communicate with various groups of donors, volunteers, and clients who all represent
many different backgrounds, education levels, socio-economic status, ethnicities, and sexual

included:
Started the first professional Marketing Team for ECU Student Life and Campus Living.

Plan and manage an international annual conference for University Housing Marketing

Produce, market, and manage campus events for students including athletic competitions,
concerts, Halloween Parties, Mardi Gras Parties, and Commencement Events. Student events
