Marketing Manager

*Recruited by AHQ CEO to manage and develop marketing for 4 Pizza Inn franchise locations in
Spartanburg, Duncan, & Greer, SC.
Responsible for the full-range of marketing in all 4 restaurants including promotional events, print
merchandising, email/text campaigns, coupons, and signage.
Provided ongoing strategies to maintain our stores’ ranks in the top 20 Pizza Inn retail locations
out of the more than 250 domestic and international locations.
Implemented all corporate promotions at the local level.
Vetted and developed relationships with advertising vendors including ValPack and Money Mailer
to reach over 10,000 local residents.
Researched demographics and worked with the CEO to develop a strategic marketing plan to hone
in on our target market, particularly as it relates to the company mission and local customer base.
Dramatically expanded our catering business through direct visits and warm-calling to local
business such as the Upward Sports Corporate offices and complex.
Regularly communicated with the Corporate VP of Marketing at Pizza Inn Headquarters in Dallas,

Responsible for booking and overseeing bi-weekly fundraisers (2 each week/per store) in which

Managed social media (Facebook), a “text club” (~500/week), and weekly email campaign with

Responsible for ordering all promotional merchandising through internal corporate catalog, 4 – 5
times a year, with a budget of ~$3,000/campaign, for items including window signage, table
toppers, posters, etc.
Initiated and developed community involvement such as opportunities for Pizza Inn to sponsor
local schools, athletic teams, community festivals, non-profits, and churches, including all 7
Spartanburg County School Districts.
Worked with marketing vendors such as printers, corporate merchandisers, and local media.

Responsible for the compilation, graphic lay-out, and overall publication of student magazine for
all 5th- 12th grade members; a bi-monthly circulation of over 450,000.
Scouted and worked with our printing vendor out of Louisville KY in order to create a drop-ship
system that easily distributed our publications across the continental US and Puerto Rico.
Reviewed and selected a wide array of content submitted from chapters and student works
including club service projects, creative writing, pictures, and national student officer editorials.
Growth & Development Coordinator (1995 – 1999)
Responsible for outreach and customer service to prospective administrators and teachers
interesting in chartering a chapter of the National Beta Club at their school.
Represented Beta as an exhibitor to speak face-to-face with educators and administrators about
Beta at conferences such as national PTA, School Board, and NEA (National Education Association)
conferences across the US including NY, Washington DC, and Minneapolis, MN.
Managed the demands of a record year of new club growth, of 426 new clubs, more than double
