Outside of his professional career as a financial analyst, Jake Kagele contributes to nonprofit organizations in AZ and beyond. Jake Kagele assists the Salpointe Catholic Education Foundation (SCEF) by serving on the investment committee. Founded in 1984, the SCEF, a nonprofit, serves the students, faculty, and families at Salpointe High School (shortened to Salpointe HS). Already a respected institution for over 30 years, in 1984, 97 supporters of Salpointe HS banded together to raise $50,000 to fund the school. Over time, SCEF’s efforts led to many improvements, including construction of STEM and arts buildings, improving preexisting sports facilities, and purchasing new equipment. As of 2022, the organization hosts over 750 members and holds over $3 million in assets. The SCEF receives funding via multiple sources, like their lifetime membership. An individual makes an initial donation of $1,000 via SCEF’s website, payable gradually during their first year of membership or all at once. They may upgrade their donation at any time and receive further recognition for that donation by joining one of seven membership tiers, corresponding to increasing donation amounts. The SCEF also hosts an annual gala, in April of any given year, open to local allies of the organization, with ticket prices for the 2022 event costing $200 per guest.
