  3. 3. <ul><li>You have many disposable income-challenged young millenials in your organization who want an opportunity to do good and show their loyalty. They have large networks that will support them in whatever they are trying to achieve, and they have the social tools to help them accomplish their goals. </li></ul>
  4. 4. <ul><li>The term “grassroots” is a term used to denote any kind of effort that derives most of its power and reason for being from a community and from common ordinary people. </li></ul>
  5. 5. <ul><li>Millenials want to make a difference and so should we </li></ul><ul><li>Social networks and the groundswell movement </li></ul><ul><li>Cultivation of young donors </li></ul><ul><li>Allows others to fundraise for you </li></ul><ul><li>Budget Constraints </li></ul><ul><li>We all have our own cause </li></ul>
  6. 7. <ul><li>Mission </li></ul><ul><li>To strengthen the Phi Delta Theta International Fraternity and the impact it has on the fight against Lou Gehrig's disease through the fundraising and athletic efforts of its members. </li></ul>
  7. 8. <ul><li>2010 Goal - $100,000 (Achieved) </li></ul><ul><li>2011 Goal – Additional $200,000 </li></ul><ul><li>2012 Goal - Additional $300,000 </li></ul><ul><li>2013 Goal – Additional $400,000 </li></ul><ul><li>End Goal - $1 million raised </li></ul><ul><li>$500,000 to ALS </li></ul><ul><li>$500,000 to PDT Foundation </li></ul>
  8. 9. <ul><li>To Become an Iron Phi </li></ul><ul><li>Achieve an athletic accomplishment </li></ul><ul><li>Raise $1,000 with 50% going to ALS and 50% to the Phi Delta Theta Foundation </li></ul>
  9. 11. <ul><li>Iron Phi is: </li></ul><ul><li>Strengthening our partnership with ALS Raising money/support for ALS </li></ul><ul><li>Raising money/support for PDT Foundation </li></ul><ul><li>Giving our members the opportunity to achieve personal athletic goals Cultivating young donors and capturing the power of their networks </li></ul>
  10. 12. <ul><li>$117,000 Raised in 13 months </li></ul><ul><li>60 Iron Phis </li></ul><ul><li>467 registrants (204 active) </li></ul><ul><li># of donors - ~2,200 (85% non-Phis) </li></ul><ul><li>50% of chapters participating </li></ul><ul><li>2 Iron Phi Chapters - $10,000+ raised </li></ul><ul><li>Average gift amount - ~$55 </li></ul><ul><li>Cost - ~$20,000 over 3 years </li></ul>
