2. Background
The largest network of careers and skills societies in the UK, Bright
Futures operated in over 50 universities, creating a link between
students and employers.
We help students to maximise their employability through year-round
collaboration with different industries, putting students in touch with
leading businesses, such as KPMG, Civil Service and Lloyds Banking
Group.
Each society is a student-run (by a student committee), allowing
members to take initiative and mange the day-to-day operation of the
society to best suit the needs and aspirations of its members.

5. Position Description: President
Liaise with SUUG, Business Employability Office, Bright Futures
National Team, UCL societies and other Bright Futures societies.
First point of contact for corporate investors
Set the visions and goals of the society: society’s constitution, number
of events (including socials, meetings and events), etc.
Review event proposals written by Event Coordinators
Ensure all society’s activities are compliant with SUUG rules and
regulations – with Vice President.
6. Position Description: Vice President
Work closely with President.
Facilitate communication among committee members.
Ensure all society’s activities are compliant with SUUG rules and
regulations – with the President.
Chair committee meetings.
7. Position Description: Event Coordinator

Work closely with President and Marketing Director.
Liaise with corporate investors for event possibilities.
Write event proposals for corporate investors.
Make sure all events are run smoothly on the day.
Organise socials.
8. Position Description: Marketing Director

Event promotion via Facebook, newsletter, Twitter, etc.
Manage the social media presence of the society
Ensure event turnout are satisfactory
Devise new marketing strategies to enhance the society’s presence in
the university.
9. Position Description: Secretary
Work closely with President.
Facilitate the transition of the society to next year’s committee.
Manage the society’s online drive, including updating the society’s
guides from time to time.
Maintain an orderly and clear record of the society’s activates and
other administrative issues, such as committee members’
involvement, event turnout, etc.
10. Position Description: Treasurer
Work closely with President.
Handle money claims for committee members.
Monitor society account and ensure proper use of funds.
Provide strategies in maximising the income of the society.
