_____________ is an officer in the Indian Administrative Service. He is the first IAS officer from Zeme Tribe of
the Naga People. He cleared the UPSC exam in 2008 and was selected for Indian Administrative Service
(IAS). He is the first IAS officer from Zeme Tribe of the Naga Peoples.
He is acclaimed for building a 100 km motor-able linking Manipur to Nagaland and Assam and the road is
famously called as the “Peoples’ Road”.The people of Tousem call him the ‘Miracle Man’.
In August 2012, he raised INR40 Lakh for this purpose through the Facebook page. He was invited
to Facebook headquarters in California in 2012 and was nominated for CNN-IBN Indian of the Year in Public
service category for his efforts in building the road with donation and volunteers. Now, he is also known as
the best IAS officer of all time.

A 2001 cadre IAS officer, ____________ capped the UPSC exams and ranked 4th in the country. As Municipal
Commissioner of Warangal, she launched a determined ‘Fund Your City’ scheme to make available the town with
parks, traffic intersections and pedestrian pathways that are managed through public-private partnerships.
As a collector of Karimnagar she brought about notable developments, and it was named ‘Best District’ under
the PM’s 20-Point Programme for 2012-2013. As Medak district collector she guaranteed fair polling in last
year’s general elections.

female Secretary General of the Lok Sabha, earlier in November 2017. The appointment was made by Lok

varied administrative experience, will have the rank and status of cabinet secretary.

Originally from Kolkata, He is an IITian who joined the Haryana cadre as an IAS officer in 1991. He is most
popularly known for exposing the irregularities in the land deal worth Rs 57 crore between the real estate
giant DLF group and Sonia Gandhi’s son in law, Robert Vadra. Prior to this, he had also unearthed a scam in
Haryana Seed Development Corporation, where the corporation was being sold seeds at inflated prices. As a
reward for his good work, He has been awarded 45 transfers in his 23 years of service. Recently, two
chargesheets have also been filed against him for failing his responsibilities as the Haryana Seed
Development Corporation.

Another IAS officer that has made it to the front pages of newspapers; thanks to their habit of exposing
corruption and taking on the irregularities in government functioning. _____________ is a 1972 Batch IAS
officer from Kerala cadre, who started his career as the sub-collector of Thrissur District.
However, his most popular public service period was more recent, when he was appointed as 11th
Comptroller and Auditor General of India in 2008. In this role, Mr __________ played a phenomenal role in
exposing major corruption scandals and scams including the Coal-Gate Scam, 2G Spectrum Allocation Scam,
Delhi Commonwealth Games scam and Padmanabhaswamy Temple Audit. Currently, he is appointed as the
chairman of the United Nations Panel of External Auditors.

Service (IAS) in 1956 in Andhra Pradesh cadre. During his early years, he worked as the Sub-collector of
Nandyal in Kurnool district in 1959 and District Collector of Adilabad, Khammam and Nellore. He played a
very important role in the nationalization of coal mines . Among his many achievements, the key include his
intense efforts to abolish bonded labour and for protecting rights of SC / ST and poor people. He also played
very important role in the formulation of pro-poor policies that were implemented by the then government.

State for Tourism, _____________ has earned much public acclaim for kick starting a slew of popular
initiatives as the collector of Kozhikode.
His innovative ideas — such as Operation Sulaimani, a decentralized participatory project to address
hunger in urban areas; Tere Mere Beach Mein, a project to tackle waste management at Kozhikode Beach;
and Yo Appooppa, an attempt to improve the quality of life of the elderly — were huge runaway successes,

man who played a pivotal role in this sustainable transformation was Kannur’s young District Collector,

A 2011-batch IAS officer of Kerala cadre, initiated a focussed campaign towards phasing out plastic carry-
bags and disposables last November.
At the same time, under his guidance, the district administration heavily encouraged the use of handloom-
made bags made by various weavers’ cooperative societies of the district .
He also directed heads of local bodies to take stern action against violating business establishments that
continued to give away plastic carry bags and disposables such as plates and cups. His determination and
hard work paid off when the appreciative public joined the effort to make Kannur the first district in the
country bereft of plastic.

like a businesswoman’. As IT secretary she played a significant role in the development of e-governance in

the Universal Service Obligation Fund delegated with growing the telecom penetration in all parts of the
