4. Background of the Study
How does water safety in drinking nowadays?
According to World Health Organization (WHO), millions of Filipinos get sick or
unfortunately dies annually from water related diseases. These problems are accredited
to the poor water system in the Philippines. Like in the cities around in Manila, three fourth
(3/4) of the population receive piped water from the water authority company. Likewise
on the provinces, fewer of the population have access clean water distribution because
some of them rely on the spring river coming from the mountain or worse from the deep-
well for their daily consumption. Both scenario either cities or provinces must have
alternative source of water which is well processed.
As the demand of cleaner water consumption, this feasibility comes up with
the water refilling station which serves the cleanest and finest water to our daily task
and consumption. Appearing of this business in the Philippines landscape is so fast and
increasing. This is managed by the private entrepreneurs where consumers would bring
containers and fill them for a per- gallon fee but they also offer home delivery for the
regular customer. Usually, the water supply comes from the pipe of water authority
company and entrepreneurs invested for the treatment equipment for the water
purification.
