Manila's eastern side (“Manila Concession” or “East Zone”). As the company demonstrated their
commitment in terms of water service and continued indication of development, two of the company's
core units obtained an ISO certification of ISO 9001:2015. The Strategic Asset Management Group
(SAMG) followed by the Corporate Project Management Group (CPMG) has been awarded the
certification for its zero non-conformities. “These units are responsible for planning and implementing
Manila Water’s capital expenditure projects to deliver its water and used water services to Metro Manila’s
East Zone.”(Manila Waters, 2018)
Manila Water Strategic Asset Management Group Director, Mr. Abelardo P. Basilio stated that with
the improvement of SAMG’s Quality Management System to ISO 9001:2015 standards, they will be
more committed to ensure that SAMG continues to provide the same high level of service to Manila
Water. Ms. Maidy Lynne Quinto, Manila Water Corporate Project Management Group Director, noted

providing efficient policies, procedures, goods, and services.

This project meets CPMG’s goal of ensuring that its capital spending targets in
Metro Manila’s East Zone are met. It assures that SAMG’s role, which includes
providing strategic asset management services such as master planning, capital
expenditure portfolio management, asset management, and technical support to Metro
Manila’s East Zone, is carried out. Both units also provided support and services to
Manila Water’s subsidiaries throughout Asia Pacific and outside of Metro Manila.
