2. POSTER LAYOUT 1
The poster to the left is one of the famous David
Attenborough, featuring a new documentary that he
has released on his speciality, nature and wild life. This
poster as all of the vital inserts which an effective
poster must with stain, for example a good mix of
colour therefore is seen as more attractive. LARGE
Headline to attract the eyes of many, images of the
important elements of the documentary. I.E David
himself asd he is the narrator, as well as a sea creature
in the back ground. Even more so that these aspects,
the channel in which is broadcasting this documentary
is BBS. I know this and so will others for the poster
features it in the bottom right hand corner.

3. POSTER 2
This poster also on the left is one of the popular
adventurer, Bear Grylls. This poster is advertising the
release of a new documentary hosted by himself,
‘Running Wild’. Much like the previous documentary,
this presents Bear Grylls behind the large title f the film
as this is extremely relevant to the documentary. He is
clearly seen in the wild life in which Bear Grylls is
always associated with. In addition to this obvious
aspect, viewers of this poster will know where they can
find this documentary as it portrays the channel
broadcasting it along the top.

4. POSTER 3
Ross Kemp, documentary host as well as successful
actor/soap star. His face will not go un noticed very
easily therefore this poster stands out for it portrays
him standing beyond the title of his new documentary
in which he is hosting. This poster has a positive that
the previous posters did not up hold, further
information related to the documentary. For instance,
along the bottom of this poster it states the
destinations in which Ross will be exploring in this
documentary. On the other hand, a strong negative to
this poster in my opinion is that is not all that attractive.
Will it be affective in catching peoples attention? The
lack of colour is an immediate push factor as posters
should be outstanding. This posters colour scheme is
too simplistic, a simple black and white typically not
meant for a poster.

5. POSTER 4
The educating Yorkshire documentary one of many
documentary series across the channel 4 educational
scheme. The poster to the left shows the head teacher in
the documentary, Johnny Michell, a key face in the
documentary. As well as the student whom attends his
school in the back ground in the school’s uniform. The
poster upholds much coulure, the purple headline of the
documentary positioned perfectly along the top of the
poster. Lastly, the channel in which broadcasts this
documentary is channel 4. In the bottom right hand
corner of this poster, the channel 4 logo can be spotted.

6. EDUCATING CARDIFF POSTER (LAYOUT)
The poster to the left is an existing popular poster
of the successful documentary known as
Educating Cardiff, one of the many educational
documentaries broadcasted on Channel 4. As
seen form this layout, it is a simple image yet
effective as it portrays all of the main and
relevant characters of the documentary. The
central layout of the poster presents teachers
looking presentable surrounded by key students
from the documentary. Generally like most
posters this layout approaches a rather messy
look, this compliment the genre of the
documentary as it seems almost child like and
playful.

7. EDUCATING MANCHESTER (LAYOUT)
The image to the left is a poster of the
educating Manchester documentary also broad
casted on channel 4. The layout of this poster is
similar to the previous analysed poster layout of
educating Cardiff. A highly messy layout
however presents all key characters and their
personalities. For example other students
whom aren’t as relevant in the documentary
arte advertised in this poster layout by edited to
come across as blurred. Arguably the most
important character of the documentary is the
head teacher, according to this poster the
layout highlights the importance of this
individual by positing his image in the netral of
the poster.

8. EDUCATING YORKSHIRE (LAYOUT)
The poster to the left is a slightly tidier layout of
the documentary Educating Yorkshire. This
poster layout is my personal favourite and has
inspired my ideas for the construction of my own
poster. Again, a similar technique by presenting
the most important character of the
documentary in the central layout, and to the
either side of the head teacher you can clearly
see other key personalities form the
documentary. What Jumped out to me the most
with this poster layout was the effective
advertisement of the television programme
positioned in the bottom right hand corner of
the layout.

9. EDUCATING ESSEX (LAYOUT)
This final poster layout is of the documentary
educating Essex, also a personal favourite due to the
effective layout. The advertisement of the television
programme in which the documentary is being
broadcasted on, along with the headline of the
documentary. Even more so that I found unique
about this layout is the visible school sign, this alone
has inspired a vital idea for my poster ancillary task.
Positioned in the back ground suggesting that it is
not as important as the persons included in this front
of this image, such as the students and teachers.
However the background image is important as it is
the location of which the documentary is filmed.
