years. There are many things that
have changed over the years and
evolved. Communication technologies
will continue to grow and evolve..
The question is where will
communication technologies be in
2028?
3. More self driving cars
Self-driving vehicles are cars or
trucks in which human drivers are
never required to take control to
safely operate the vehicle.
People are still worried about how
the cars will work and if they are
safe.
By 2028 these cars will be tested
and called safer than someone
actually driving a car. (Union Of
Concerned Scientist, 2018)
These self driving cars will lead
to….Self driving Chauffer's.
4. Self driving Chauffer
With uber , lyft and taxis being such an easy way of clicking a button and
ordering a ride , it will be much different in 10 years.
Its 2028 , you order a ride and it shows up, there is no driver just the ride.

5. Roger’s Diffusion of Innovations
This theory explains the rate at which new ideas and technology occur. This
theory would be able to explain why these cars would take time to develop
but it would be able to show why eventually the self driving chauffer's will be
a thing. The 4 things that influence these cars are first the innovation, the
communication channel , then the time and finally the social system.
The cars have been innovated , they have been communicated and put out
there , now they just need the time to get spread and they need to be
positively talked about through out social groups.
6. Phone watches
Today you have watches that can
connect to your phone and work
with your phone allowing you to
receive phone calls and other
notifications (smart watch)
In 2028 You will no longer need a
phone in your pocket to Bluetooth
with the watch..
Companies will have watches that
connect to their own apps and
cell phone data. If you go on a jog
all you need is a watch you do not
have to worry about having your
phone with you as well. This will
be used way more in the future
than they are now.
7. Reading glasses,
Literally …
In 2028 we will have glasses
that read to you. When wearing
the glasses you can look at
something and it reads it you.
You will put the glasses on and
use a ear piece that connects to
the glasses. As you look at
something the glasses will read
to you as you skim over the
word
8. Uses and gratification theory
This theory explains an approach to understand why and how people actively
seek out specific media to satisfy specific needs. (Learning Theories , 2018)
These reading glasses will be developed to satisfy the needs of people who
are not great readers. They will be able to do more things on their own
because of these glasses.
These glasses will help people learn how to read they will be able to follow
the words as these glasses read to them.
9. No Paper Back
Books
Books will be used and read on
electronic devices only.
Schools will only allow electronic
books.
Paper back books will slowly be
falling off
Electronic books will be better
for learning and the environment
10. The social learning theory
This theory will influence the “no paper back books”. This theory explains
how people learn new values, behaviors and attitudes.
The People will use electronic books because that will be more required and
pushed by others.
People will adapt to this by valuing paper, understanding that using electronic
books can benefit you as a learner and the environment and have a attitude
to help better your self as well as the environment.
These electronic books will just be something that gets adopted and it will be
an automatic for people, if they want a new book they will automatically look
on an electronic device because that is what they have gotten use to.
11. More 3D printing
What is 3D printing: any manufacturing process which additively builds or
forms 3D parts in layers from CAD data. The technology is significant because
it offers direct manufacturing, meaning a design goes directly from you to
physical product through a computer and a printer(Stratasys, 2018).
This can benefit the learning of people through visual aid
It helps people with explaining theories and certain processes through visual
learning and 3d objects
It is a simple and easy way to create things by simply putting them in the
computer.
