Position: Shutdown (Turnaround) Engineer
Inclusive date: January 2010 – August 2013
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain ownership of HSE planning. Coordinate HSE mandatory and company specific requirements
within Shutdown integrated team (HSE department, disciplines, and contractors). Facilitate HSE activities during
Shutdown preparation, implementation and post shutdown activities: Job Hazard Analysis, HSE briefing, Shutdown
HSE inspection, Lessons Learned. Carry out contractor/subcontractor HSE assessment prior to tender board.
Collate Maintenance and Reliability scope of work. Review and coordinate Shutdown relevant backlogs. Ensure
work orders are coded correctly in CMMS (Support, Administration and Planning software), task descriptions are
relevant to the actual being performed and estimated hours are accurate. Identify changes in work scope – new work,
approved by Shutdown Manager and Asset Manager.
Identify and highlight all resources associated with Shutdown scope of work. Develop a plan with resource
estimation for inclusion in the Shutdown Staffing (Manpower) Plan.
Monitor progress against plan and provide feedback to the Shutdown Planner. Update maintenance and Integrity
data in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System, SAP). Confirm own operation activities in work
orders to ensure progress against milestones.
Identify and coordinate logistics needs for Shutdown activities and follow up on materials/spare parts orders.
Coordinate and control materials receipt from warehouse. Prepare spares required for equipment inspection and

Supervise contractor/subcontractor work force in the field. Act as PA (Performing Authority) during Shutdown
preparation, execution and post shutdown activities. Ensure safe, within budget and good quality output in
accordance with company expectations, plans and procedures.
Achievement

Heat Exchanger) repair under BA condition.
Maintenance - Contributed through work preparation, scheduling and execution to Reduce duration of
CI (Combustion Inspection) Flange-to-Flange activity from 72 hrs to 48 hrs (4shifts x 12hrs) on Frame-5 Gas
Turbine.
