3. Process Operations Manager.
Main Duties (Scope of Work)
• Directs and supervises the activities of assigned personnel ensuring safe and
efficient operation of all plant equipment within the process area during shift.
Includes, checking, stopping equipment issuing work permit and enforcing their
relevant procedure.
• Supervises plant testing, technical investigation and the implementation of safety
rules and procedure. This included supervision of maintenance then in case of
emergency repair and during general routine mechanical maintenance.
• Controls the safe operation of three major LNG producing plants together with the
storage facilities, controlling manpower, mitigating risks associated while critical
jobs are being carried out in the fields.( reviewing task risks assessment, methods
of statement, Hazop ,SIMPOMS and HSCES related issues to evaluate the
performance and effectiveness of these LNG plants),maintaining risk register to
situation to factors posing production threat and flaring in order to meet the
organization’s KPI.
• Analysing the root causes which contributed to the reasons after a catastrophic
incident takes place in the plant.
• Conducting management safety tours, advanced safety audits, advanced operation
audits & reporting near misses.
• Attending company duties to carryout factor acceptance tests for the new projects
such as participating with the task force sent by ADGAS in South Korea.
• A member of the committee steering PROBIS (production operations business
improvement scheme) to enhance the plant performance and effectiveness by
doing some modifications though established management of change (MOC).
• Chairs the committee to verify and evaluate whether performing and issuing
authority are qualified or certified for the permit to work system to comply with
company rules and regulations for the work to be carried out in a safe manner.
• Has been a member of the commissioning team that started 1000MMSCFD gas
transportation facility in stages from 2012 to 2014. (Offshore associated Gases
project and Integrated Gas Development Project) to compress dry gas and export
onshore to Abu Dhabi for power generation facilities.
WORK PERFORMED
Cover of all plants supervision of operators on a Six Million tones per year
LNG/LPG Train wit plants such as Ben field (H2S and CO2 Removal),
Dehydration, Separation, Fractionation, MCR Units, LPG Treatment, Sulphur
Recover Units, Flare and Blow Down Systems.
Permanent member in “Shut Down” team involved in several train overhauls and
major Shutdowns.
Jetty Safety Master attending the preloading safety procedures of the loading.
Direct and supervise s the activities of process operations through Honeywell
TDC-300 computer, which employs microprocessor-based controller, linked to
the local control network by a data highway. Via highway gateway to the local

4. network and performs supervisory functions at the level established by the
management.
Prepares the process shift log and check the logs of various operators.
Issues appropriate work permits as required according to company’s regulation.
Enforces the work permit relevant procedure, including checking isolations of
equipment and work area, gas testing to ensure a safe environment prior to work
commencement.
Supervises plant testing and technical investigation, recommends corrective
action or modification to equipment, and procedure to save cost and improve
efficiency.
Control the work of the mechanical maintenance personnel and check their
completed works before final endorsement by the senior maintenance engineer.
Check the work done by chief operators and process operators for reporting on
the shift superintendent.
Provides opportunities for training and development of employees under my
direction and assesses their progress.
This includes on the job training, counselling and proper work delegation.
Monitors and controls the status of the units, within his area through frequent
inspection to ensure that equipment is the best possible condition relative to
safety and performance, and supervises the mechanical team in case of repair or
maintenance of the equipment in the plant during his shift.

Generate and execute action plans for operation division for recommendations
from Root cause analyses, Management safety tours, Asset Risk index, internal
and external Audit findings for plant operation and Permit to work systems.
