1. Evaluation
During the lesson we discussed
the different types of camera
shots. We annotated what the
different camera shots were, our
task was to then re create the
images of the different camera
shots. We did this so we can grasp
an understanding of the different
types of shots and the effect they
have upon the reader. It will also
help us when it comes to takes
our own pictures for our
magazine. The different camera
shots are as follows;
1. Low angle
2. Multiple focus
3. Rule of thirds
4. Depth of field
5. Receding Background
6. Dirty shot
2. Feedback
The feedback we received is as follows;
• “For the first picture, Ryan looks like a side man and it's also a blurry
picture. Also, there are things in the background such as the bench ruins
the picture. But, the layering is good and everyone is looking at the
camera and you actually look like a band!”
• “For the second picture, it's blurry and the post looks good but the
lordswood sign ruins it. However, it's good that you're not looking at the
camera and the lighting is on point and the rule of thirds is good.”
• “For the third picture, the way everyone is positioned is good, the
different poses are good and it's also good multiple focuses. But, the
background ruins it, there's a reflection in the board and the chairs and
tables ruin the picture.”
• “Overall, work on your focusing skills.”
From the feedback I heave learnt that I need to work on the camera focusing,
other than that the compositions were good. The feedback will help when
taking phots as I know not to make that same mistake twice.
