1. 6B Field Trip to the Tea Shops
Where We Live Affects How We Live
By: Rebecca Minn
2. There are many people who live very differently
in the world. You wouldn’t expect those people to be
living very close to you that it takes only 5minutes to
walk there. Well, read on if you want to know who’s
waiting for you to visit again.
3. The people there usually have a variety of food like shrimp and fish and vegetables but their main
food is rice. Not everyday can they afford meat because they have to use their money on other
things like school fees for their kids. They also enjoy a cup of pleasant tea every afternoon.
4. Most of the people who live in that community don’t have bathrooms to do their laundry or to shower so
they have to do it outside. To shower they use a big barrel of water and a bucket.
5. The people that live here don ‘t live in big houses like most of us. The houses don’t have doors or
windows. As mentioned earlier they don’t have their own toilets so they use a public toilet.
6. The people there open tea shops or little stands and snack stores for work.
Beatle nut stands are the most common stand you see because many people
like to chew beatle nut. Some people drive trishaws for business so they can
transport other people.
7. Most people don’t have kitchens and sinks to wash the dishes so
they have to wash outside. But some people who open teashops have
a small sink.
8. The kids in this neighborhood don’t have computers, televisions and
electronic devices so they play soccer, tag or dodge ball in their free time.
Their homework is usually things that have to be memorized so they do that
at school. Then at home they have a lot of time to play.
