1. Low key lighting is used to give a mysterious and dark background, but keeping the main
female character in the light shows that she is innocent in a dangerous setting. The tone
here is slightly edited because this clip is unnaturally darkened, this again exaggerates the
danger. The fact that the man dress all in black is positioned to have his back to the
audience shows mystery because the audience is unable to get a clear understanding of his
role in the clip. The composition used also shows a lot of empty space all around them, just
surrounded my trees. This shows that there is no protection for the female character with
invokes worry in the audience. The male character is dressed all in black which could
represent his personality , conveying to the audience that the girl may be in danger, were
ad the girl is wearing a flimsy jacket which shows she has no protection if she is in danger.
The mise-en-scene in this clip all signify that the female is in danger.
