INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE
Mechanical/Structural Engineer, DMAR Engineering Inc., Houston, TX (Sept 2013- Jan 2016)
Developed 200+ drawings using different CAD software packages for offshore platform hull general
arrangements, hull primary structure, outfitting/appurtenances, marine systems, electrical/instrumentation,
while ensuring both the quality and efficiency.
Designed 20+ several modules used for the offshore platform and performed FEA using ANSYS and Abaqus
with consideration of fabrication and feasibility.
Generated FEA analysis report for offshore platform hull outfitting/appurtenances, fabrication and global
performance approved by American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) with accuracy.
Mentored and guided several structural engineers to achieve the targets within the deadlines.
Structural Engineer, Sinopec Petroleum Engineering Design Ltd, China (July 2010- Aug 2010)
Developed CAD drawings for different structural designs and performed FEA for jacket platforms using
different software packages such as SACS, ANSYS by considering nonlinear soil effect.
Contributed in the project structural calculation book writing.
Performed analysis for part of the topside, including the padeye, winch/sheave foundation and hatches.
Modified the structural design and performed FMEA for jacket platforms under earthquake conditions.
RESEARCH EXPERIENCE
Optimization of Vehicle Hood Lifting System, Lehigh University, Bethlehem, PA (May 2013- Aug 2013)
Developed and optimized the Vehicle Hood Lifting system by using different software programs to that
reduced the lift force by 20%.
Optimized the system using annealing method by taking structure modification and cost of manufacturing
into consideration.

ResearchAssistant, Department of Engineering Mechanics, DLUT, China (May 2010- June 2011)
Project 1: FLNG Tank Sloshing Research Project
Developed the experimental platform including the six degree of freedom (DOF) sloshing actuator and
embedded all the sensors to the Floating Liquefied Natural Gas prototype model.
Performed experimental and analytical analysis (Abaqus, ANSYS) under different boundary conditions.
Improved the structure design of the FLNG tank that contributed to an improved efficiency by 15%
Project 2: Numerical Analysis of platform with Anti-Ice Conical Structure
Proposed and developed a new structure design to reduce the risk of a structure failure due to the fatigue
caused by ice load
Performed experimental research on installation, validation check of Anti-Ice/conical structures that led to
savings around 30 million dollars/year on different platforms in North Sea.
Developed and performed different numerical simulations that improved the design of the structures by 20 %
and improved the viability of the platforms under severe climatic conditions.
Project 3: Structural Analysis of Steel Frame Truss Structure
Verified the viability of bridges by performing FMEA using Matlab and ANSYS models for different steel
frames and truss structures.
