2. I will be looking into this institution as a possible distributor for
my music magazine, however, there are many setbacks as to why it
would not be suitable.
Firstly, TeamRock concentrate on rock and metal genre music
magazines, and they are not a large enough company to be able to
distribute more genres, for now.
3. BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Team Rock Limited produces
content for music and lifestyle fans,
which also involves news about
performers, in-depth reviews,
exclusive, brand new interviews,
and more aspects which refer to the
rock lifestyle. The company also
broadcasts music through digital
audio broadcasting radio or online.
It also began operating online for
merchandise, such as shirts and
other items. Team Rock was created
in 2011 and is based in Blantyre,
United Kingdom.
4. At the moment the company is not at a good financial state, and
therefore could possibly not afford to publish my magazine, or
would publish it in poor quality.
Not only that, but they
specialise in rock only, and
therefore I do not believe that
this company would be
suitable for my music
magazine.
5. At this point, these are the
‘channels’ that TeamRock are
broadcasting and developing at the
moment.
Classic Rock is a music magazine, so
is Metal Hammer. However, Prog is
just news on the official page about
the new genre of music.
Finally, Blues Magazine is also a
music magazine that focuses on
Blues music, and is the only one that
is not specialized in Rock/Metal.
6. IN CONCLUSION
I believe that TeamRock would not be suitable as a distributor
for my music magazine for many reasons, the main one being
they do not produce many magazines, and no magazines that
are targeting a niche audience such as mine.
