UK’s leading consumer magazine publisher
they engage with 26m UK adults – almost two

IPC are involved with multiple different genres of magazines (circled above in red) from
‘Fashion & Beauty’ to ‘TV Entertainment’. In each genre there is a list of the different
brands and magazines they are associated with. For the genre music magazines it is
grouped with the ‘Young Men’ section with only 2 magazine brands listed, this shows
that IPC isn’t highly involved with music magazines with both ‘NME’ and ‘Uncut’ as the
same genre of music magazine also. With their minimal involvement with music
magazines it gives a niche for other genres of music magazines to be involved with IPC.
The information on the left show the statistics of NME by IPC Media. It
includes details about the launch date, the frequency of which it’s
published and the main audience age range. It also includes data about the
average cover price which is £2.40, this helps me get a better
understanding on what price range I could price my magazine at. It also

magazine it allows me to get an idea of what age range I want my target
audience to be.

allowing other genre of music magazines to be involved with their Media Group.
The Bauer Media Group website also includes a

associated with, it gives an idea on what genres
they are involved with and helps determine what
type of genres they are not involved in.
5. The world's most revered and respected hard rock magazine, every
month Classic Rock Magazine goes behind the scenes to bring the
real stories behind rock legends from Led Zeppelin to Guns N
Roses, Black Sabbath to Pink Floyd and far beyond. Written by the
world's leading rock experts and featuring rock's most renowned
photographers, Classic Rock unearths the reality from the myths
and brings you the latest in 21st century rock.
TeamRock Media spotted a gap in the rock music market, it's
called "the rock music market" and they've noticed that rock
music fans aren't getting the right access to the content they
want, the way they want it, so they changed that. Along with the
recent acquisitions of Classic Rock & Metal Hammer magazines,
the plan for TeamRock is to keep growing and delivering the
content that the viewers want, any time they want it. Based in
the UK, the team behind TeamRock are both renowned and
revered for their business acumen and media nuance. John
Myers and Billy Anderson are also involved.
TeamRock are not only associated
with just magazine media but is
also involved with radio, there is
a lot of links from the rock music
genre used in the magazines
they’re associated with but they
also are involved with a rock
genre radio station. TeamRock
Media has a strong involvement
in the genre rock. This could
either allow a large niche for
other genres to be involved or
because of the name TeamRock
they may only be associated with
Rock music.
